Many of our recent clients are asking for Orangery Lantern Roofs in their extension and due to their low profile design these roofs fit neatly below the existing first floor windows.

These lantern roofs allow more daylight into the existing dwelling and the flush ceiling adds a seamless feel to these additions. The use of modern flat roof fabric such as EDPM rubber now have an increased life span compared to the older style flat roof.

Pitched roof extensions have limits to their tile pitch and therefore cannot extend as far from the existing wall of the house as many clients now require without clashing with the first floor windows. This new simple (orangery) lantern flat roof design solves this problem and there low profile and interesting design also seems popular with planning officers.
